Recycled polyester

The main fabric of this jacket, as well as its lining, are made of recycled polyester. By recycling plastic bottles to produce our polyester, we have reduced the utilisation of oil-based resources while preserving the quality and performance of the material during your activities.

Water repellent without PFC

The fabric of this jacket is water repellent: it lets water slide over its surface without seeping in. In this way, the fabric doesn’t soak up water and stays light and breathable.
The water-repellent property is achieved by treating the fabric’s exterior: it doesn’t use fluorinated compounds, which have a harmful impact on fauna and flora.

Waterproofing of the component of this jacket

The waterproofing of a fabric by a coating or a membrane is measured in Schmerbers or H20 mm (pressure of a water column). The higher this number, the more waterproof the fabric.
This jacket is designed with a coated waterproof component (JIS 1092 standard): this component withstands 15 000 mm H20 (Schmerber) before washing (i.e. the pressure exerted by a 15-metre water column).

Fabric breathability

The fabric of this jacket is breathable: RET = 12.
Component breathability is measured by its thermal evaporative resistance (RET).
This is its capacity to let water vapour generated by the body during physical activity escape and therefore avoid water accumulating on the skin.
The lower the RET, the more breathable the fabric.
RET ≤ 6: very breathable fabric
RET ≤ 12: breathable fabric
RET ≤ 20: little or no breathability
